MYSTIQUE (SL 28 THERMOSHOCK NATURAL) BY QUEBRADITAS , EDISON ARGOTE 200gm
Mystique is one of the coffees that took Auro to the podium — Bronze in Espresso and Bronze in Filter at the Golden Bean Australasia 2026. Grown at Quebraditas Farm in the heart of Colombia's Massif, this SL28 natural pours cherry cola and ripe raspberry into the cup, wrapped in a delicate floral perfume and finished with milk chocolate.
THE PRODUCERS
Edison Argote and Angela Rojas farm Quebraditas as a family operation in the municipality of Oporapa, Huila — right in Colombia's Massif region. Their crops grow under strategic shade between 1,600 and 1,850 metres, and every lot is fermented with selected yeasts to lock in a consistent, replicable sensory profile. It's precision farming with a family name behind it.
THE VARIETY — SL28
SL28 traces its roots to Kenya, prized worldwide for its vivid acidity and fruit-driven cup. Planted in the volcanic soils of the Colombian Massif, it takes on a different accent — softer, saucier, more cola than citrus — while keeping the vibrancy the varietal is known for.
THE PROCESS
Mystique is processed as a natural with a thermal shock treatment — a controlled temperature intervention applied during drying that locks in clarity and pushes the fruit character.
