Christmas Rum Cake is our tribute to the richest slice on the holiday table. Fruity Colombian and Ethiopian beans bring plump raisins, candied fruit and a bright berry lift. Rum-barrel-aged beans add the warm, boozy depth of a cake that’s been fed all December. Chocolatey Brazilian beans tie it together with a dark, comforting base. The result tastes like Christmas in a cup.
Best as:
Espresso: syrupy, fruit-laden and warming
With milk: like a slice of fruit cake with cream
Affogato: pull a shot over vanilla ice cream for a heavenly Christmas dessert
